The Momentum Silolona journeys are the most sought after private travel experiences in South East Asia. These
are not only individually crafted journeys, but journeys crafted for each individual to enjoy. Young or old, everyone becomes enthralled by these magical experiences.

Description

These are some of the highlights of week on board Silolona – but remember, this is a tailor-made journey and the pace can build as you wish. This is no ordinary adventure…

In Summer of 2011 she sails in Bali and Komodo National Park and from November 2011 to March 2012 in Langkawi (Southern Thailand).

Seek your own private haven either onboard or ashore. While you were out your personal cabin steward has arranged for cold drinks under the white umbrellas in the sand. Late afternoon is the perfect time to gear up for some fishing and nothing is a more welcome addition to sunset cocktails on the aft deck than a delectable dish of freshly caught tuna sashimi. Night time in Komodo brings its own special magic from dinner on deck under the brilliant stars to barbeques and bonfires on the beach. Glittering phosphorescence fades as you seek the sanctuary of your stateroom to rest up for the next day’s adventures…

Itinerary

Day 1 - Labuhanbajo & Sabolon Island
Our cruise director and a crew member will welcome you at your arrival at the airport of Labuhan Bajo and accompany you to the boat. After embarkation, we will sail north up the eastern coast of Komodo Island to Sabolon Island: within less than an hour, you will already be able to enjoy your first swim! The rest of the day will be dedicated to water sports and beach relaxation. Celebrate your first evening in the Komodo Archipelago with a sunset cocktail on the scenic coast of this small beautiful island.

DAY 2 - Rinca Island
Early morning, we will trek on Rinca Island to see the Komodo dragons in their native habitat along with wild boars, monkeys, wild water buffalos and a score of birds… Since this island is a natural park, this will be a guided walk with rangers who will be able to share with you their profound knowledge about the Komodo, the other fauna and flora of the park. Return to Silolona for big brunch & sail to nearby rocky islet for
a spectacular underwater dive. The afternoon will be spent at “Pantai Merah” (the pink beach), world famous for its pink sand and excellent snorkelling and diving. Silolona will drop the anchor for the night in the bay adjacent to a small fishing village.

DAY 3 - Padar Island
The Padar Island is one of our favourite ones: it is superb and enables many activities: water sports such as sea kayaking, water skiing, diving and snorkelling. Those who prefer to walk and discover the surrounding fauna will have the opportunity to observe many kinds of birds in their natural environment… The view of nearby islands from the top of Padar is stunning. Admire the different shades of the sea when the sun and
clouds are reflected in it. In the evening, we will sail towards Gili Lawah Darat & Gili Lawa Laut.

DAY 4 - Gili Lawah Darat & Gili Lawah Laut
Every single island of this archipelago is magic and the small islands of Gili Lawah Darat & Gili Lawah Laut are no exception. Gili Lawah Laut, for instance, offers some very interesting sites for snorkelling and diving where you can observe some of the most diverse fish groups, which populate the waters of Komodo. You might be lucky and even see sea turtles! If you wish to take a walk, don’t forget your camera: the view
from the top is literally breathtaking.

DAY 5 - Batu Muncul
This morning you will wake up again in front of truly magnificent scenery! Batu Muncul offers some stunning crescent shaped beaches with pristine white sand where the swimming is superb. There are also some excellent spots for diving and snorkelling. All the other water sport activities are of course at your disposition in order to make the best of this day!

DAY 6 - Banta Island
Although Banta Island lies outside the National Park boundaries, its numerous finger-like bays and crescent shaped beaches feature excellent diving and snorkelling. This island is noted for its large population of giant turtles and manta rays. Enjoy for your last evening a beach barbeque as the sun sets and the skies shift to the brilliant stars
of the Southern Hemisphere as the Milky Way makes it arc across the night sky.

DAY 7 - Labuhanbajo
Early birds will be able to enjoy their last swim at Pulau Sebayor before Silolona navigates towards Labuhan Bajo. After enjoying a leisurely breakfast on deck overlooking the local fishing boats, it will be time to bid farewell to Silolona and her crew. The seaplane will land next to Silolona in the water around 11:00 and
bring you back to Bali.

Let Us Take You There…
